Dental Hygiene
From rides in the chair on a parent’s lap to periodontal deep cleanings, for those of us that need the extra help, our team of dental hygienists has the skills for the job. Our aim is not only to remove tartar and plaque from your teeth but to advise you of any problem spots and educate you on how to best keep your mouth healthy by helping tweak your daily at-home care.
Sedation Dentistry
Are you nervous about having dental work done? Many people are and we can help. Both Dr. Nicola and Dr. Tatum Buckley are certified in the use of nitrous oxide, an inhaled gas that helps patients to relax. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off almost immediately, so patients are typically ready to go to school or drive home directly after their appointments.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Is there anything you’d like to change about your smile? Our office offers a variety of procedures to help you be more confident in your smile. These include Invisalign (invisible braces) to straighten misaligned teeth, Zoom in-office or take-home bleaching to brighten your smile, and bonding and veneers, to change the shape and/or size of your teeth. The results can be amazing!
Restorative Dentistry
The goal of restorative dentistry is to replace or restore teeth (or parts of teeth) lost due to decay, wear or trauma. This includes everything from fillings and root canals to crowns. We also replace missing teeth with bridges, dental implants, partials and dentures. Not sure what can be done to help restore your smile? Just ask!

Dr. Ron Buckley BSc BBA DDS
Dr. Ron Buckley began his career in dentistry in 1982. Upon graduation from Dalhousie University, he began his practice in Rothesay, where he remained for 38 years before moving his office to Quispamsis in November 2020.
Dr. Janet Bailey, BSc B.Ed DDS
Dr. Janet Bailey graduated from Dalhousie University in 1983. She opened a clinic on Sydney Street in Saint John, where she worked for seven years before moving it to Rothesay to combine with her husband’s, Dr Ron Buckley, practice.
Dr. Nicola Buckley, DDS
Dr. Nicola Buckley was born and raised in the Kennebecasis Valley, where she currently resides with her husband Matt and three children. She attended Dalhousie University.
Dr. Tatum Buckley, BSc DDS
Dr. Tatum Buckley earned her BSc from Mount Allison University and went on to Dalhouisie University’s DDS program where she graduated in 2015.
Our Staff
Jael O’Toole, Dental Assistant
Jael is born and raised in Hampton. She graduated from dental assisting in 2010 and has been working in various offices across Canada ever since. She has now planted her roots here in New Brunswick. She loves spending time with her 2 dogs Copper and Charlie and her fiancé Jordan enjoying the great outdoors.
Shannon MacFarlane, Dental Hygienist
Shannon comes from Fredericton NB and moved to Saint John in May 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology degree from UNB and a Diploma in Dental hygiene from Dalhousie University. Shannon enjoys the daily interactions with patients and educating them on their oral health care needs. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, staying active and spending time with her family, friends and puppy Ruby.
Kelley Joyce-Floyd, Dental Hygienist
Kelley has lived in the Kennebecasis Valley most of her life. She attended both UNBSJ and Dalhousie University where she graduated with her bachelor of science degree and diploma in dental hygiene. She joined the practice in 2002. After nearly 30 years on the job, what she enjoys most is making smiles healthy and forming relationships with the patients. Read More
Krysten Brown, Business Assistant
Krysten moved to New Brunswick in 2018 from Southern Alberta but grew up on Vancouver Island. She has a dental assisting background and has worked in the dental industry since 2003. She is an animal lover and enjoys travelling with her husband. Always up for any adventure she looks forward to exploring all that New Brunswick has to offer.
Kimberley MacDonald, Dental Assistant
Kim Graduated from Holland College in 1994, and worked for 25 years as a dental assistant for Trinity Dental in Moncton N.B.
Kim has two children Alex and Ashlyn, and moved to her tranquil home on Belleisle Bay with her spouse Marc and dog Oliver in 2018. We are thrilled to welcome her to our team!
Laura McIntyre, Business Assistant
Laura was born and raised in the Kennebecasis Valley. She Graduated from UNBSJ with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys reading classic novels, spending time with her friends and family as well as her 4 cats
Jenny Gordon Hayes, Dental Hygienist
Jenny graduated from John Abbott College with a diploma in dental hygiene in 1999 and has been part of the Bailey Buckley Family Dentistry team since 2017! The best part of her day is listening to her patients’ stories and helping people achieve their healthiest smiles. Jenny enjoys a good book, hot cup of tea and gardening in her spare time. She also loves spending time at home with her husband, Mike, their two boys, Max and Alex, and their dog, Lucy.
